A veterinarian revealed the truth behind the lovable, almost-cryptid deformed raccoon Jimothy’s condition.

Jimothy, a four-legged Seattle resident, went viral after a short video showed the strange-looking animal visiting homes in a Ballard neighborhood. Experts have said the animal is simply a raccoon with likely short-spine syndrome, a rare congenital condition that affects its appearance.
