SEATTLE — A 34-year-old man remains in critical condition after what Seattle police describe as an unprovoked attack in downtown Seattle that left him with severe head and facial injuries.
Investigators say surveillance video captured the suspect walking past the victim before repeatedly striking him in the head with an object, possibly a hammer, more than a dozen times near Sixth Avenue and Madison Street, outside the Renaissance Hotel.
The victim, identified by family members as George Miller, has been on a ventilator in the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center since the attack last week.
“They don’t know if he’s going to have vision. They don’t know if he is going to be able to hear. They don’t know if he’s going to stay the same and make a full recovery,” the victim’s mother, Lisa Driscoll, said…
