Trussville agrees to sell two parcels of land to commercial developers

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. — The Trussville City Council approved the sale of two commercial properties during the regular council meeting Aug. 25. Both properties were previously presented to the council for a first reading during the Aug. 11 meeting.

The council approved the sale of two acres along Watterson Parkway to Actus Development LLC for $200,000. At the Aug. 11 meeting, Mayor Ben Short explained that only about half an acre of the property can feasibly be developed for commercial use. The rest of the property, along with adjacent property at the former Marvin’s location, is expected to be used for a connecting road from South Chalkville Road to Watterson Drive.
