BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — Birmingham City Schools is preparing to expand wearable emergency alert badges to adults at 15 more schools, giving teachers and other employees a way to quickly call for help during everything from a medical emergency to a situation requiring a lockdown.
The district presented the second phase of its CrisisAlert rollout during a Board of Education work session Monday. The expansion is expected to cost no more than $486,000.
