Master P Honored at Miles College as College Expands Economic and Social Justice Efforts

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — Miles College expanded the work of its Judge U.W. Clemon Center for Economic and Social Justice Friday as the college hosted its first Business & Research Conference during Homecoming.

A featured part of the day was the appearance of New Orleans entertainer and music mogul Percy “Master P” Miller, who was recognized as a Distinguished Honoree for his work in entrepreneurship, ownership and economic advancement. Miller’s attendance brought a nationally recognized entertainment and business figure to the Miles College campus as the institution highlighted efforts focused on economic mobility and community development.

The conference also featured a conversation on advocacy and influence with Until Freedom co-founder Tamika D. Mallory, along with appearances by Yandy Smith-Harris, Tara Wallace and other national leaders participating in discussions throughout the day…
