ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Massachusetts man was arrested after attempting to meet up with whom he believed was a 13-year-old girl. Mark Nacht, 65, of Waltham, Massachusetts, was arrested by Albany law enforcement on Friday as the result of a sting operation.

According to FBI officials, between December 18, 2025 and April 10, 2026, Nacht allegedly exchanged explicit messages online with an undercover agent in Albany whom he believed was the relative of a 13-year-old girl who would allow him to engage in sexual contact with the minor. Nacht also directly communicated with another undercover agent, whom he believed was the 13-year-old girl, to engage in sexually explicit activity.
On Friday, he traveled from Massachusetts to Albany with the intent to engage in sexual acts with the 13-year-old. Nacht was arrested by law enforcement after arriving to the location.

He was arrested on charges of attempted enticement of a minor. Nacht was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending a detention hearing on Tuesday.
The charge filed against him carries a maximum sentence of life in prison, a mandatory minimum of 10 years imprisonment, a fine of up to $250,000 and between five years and life of supervised release. If convicted, Nacht would also be required to register as a sex offender…
