One person was killed and two others were injured in two separate overnight shootings in Boston, according to police.
The first shooting occurred at 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of 28 Woolston St. in Mattapan, police said. Officers responding to a report of a person shot found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died of his injuries.
The second shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Sunday in the area of 255 Geneva Avenue in Dorchester. Responding officers found two people suffering from apparent gunshot wounds near the intersection of Geneva Avenue and Everton Street. Both people were rushed to local hospitals for evaluation.
