Boulder DA files charges in fentanyl overdose death

A man accused of selling another man drugs the night of his death from a fentanyl overdose in Boulder has been charged with allegedly causing the death.

Joseph Robert Moczulewski, 43 was found dead at about 7:20 a.m. on March 2, near Broadway and Yarmouth Avenue in Boulder. An autopsy showed his cause of death was a fentanyl overdose, according to a news release from the 20th Judicial District Attorney’s office.

Gustavo Argumedo-Lopez, 31, was arrested last week after he allegedly sold methamphetamine to an undercover police detective. Argumendo-Lopez also allegedly confessed to selling drugs to Moczulewski on the night of his death, and digital evidence showed they had been communicating over the phone ahead of Moczulewski’s death…
