BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – Manatee County commissioners voted Thursday to delay action on the county’s proposed comprehensive plan after residents packed commission chambers and voiced concerns about growth, development and the public review process.
The plan, which would serve as the county’s blueprint for growth and development over the next two decades, was scheduled to be sent for state approval. However, after hours of public comment, commissioners voted 5-1 to revisit the item Aug. 6.
