Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was hospitalized after a virus overwhelmed his lungs, which were “already compromised” due to toxins from Ground Zero dust, according to an official statement.
Giuliani, who remains in the hospital, lives with breathing difficulties every day because of the consequences of being covered with white dust on 9/11, according to the statement from his primary care provider, Dr. Maria Ryan, shared on his X account.
