Teen shot to death in NYCHA building on Mother’s Day: NYPD

BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A Brooklyn teen was shot to death on Mother’s Day in a NYCHA complex, according to police.

Officers responded to the Van Dyke Houses in Brownsville just after 3 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a man shot.

Police found 18-year-old Quahmir Cruz with a gunshot wound to his chest and EMS transported him to a local hospital, where Cruz was pronounced dead, according to officials.
