N.J. man who helped smuggle 9 Irish citizens across U.S. border headed to prison

A New Jersey man has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for helping nine Irish citizens who illegally crossed the U.S.-Canada border into Vermont.

Tyshan Murray, of Elizabeth, will also have three years of supervised release after finishing his stint in prison, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Vermont said Friday.
