BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Earl “Skip” Gingerich Jr., supervisor of the Town of Marilla, has died, town officials confirm to WIVB News 4.
According to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, around 9 a.m. on Aug. 28, deputies responded to a first aid call at a farm located at 3861 Three Rod Rd in Marilla.
A witness on the scene told deputies that a cow ran into a gate, causing it to open suddenly, strike a victim in the head, and knock him to the ground. The victim, who was identified as Gingerich, was transported to the Erie County Medical Center for treatment of head injuries, before passing away shortly before 11:30 p.m…
