MLK Civic Center redevelopment underway in downtown Savannah
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Redevelopment of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Civic Center in downtown Savannah is underway. Crews began work Wednesday on the $10.9 million project. Plans call for demolishing the MLK Arena while keeping the theater spaces intact. Construction is expected to last approximately 13 months.
