‘Don’t get trapped’: Solar energy customer, installer offer advice amidst scams

ANAMOSA, Iowa (KCRG) – For those in the market for solar to power their homes, scams and offers that seem too good to be true might cause issues for their pocketbooks.

Solar customer Luke Salmon has seen this firsthand. He got a system set up at his home just across the Mississippi in western Illinois and checked the tracking app to see how much he was saving.

When the power bill was high one month, he learned that his system hadn’t been working. He then found out the company had closed its doors…
