ROBINS, Iowa — Eastern Iowa’s Hindu community is celebrating a major milestone with the opening of a new, larger temple in Robins designed to serve a growing number of worshippers.
The new space can hold more than 1,000 people, replacing the longtime Cedar Rapids temple that had outgrown its capacity. Leaders said the project was years in the making and was funded by community donations.
