Berkeley County crews respond to five water rescue missions on Lake Moultrie Sunday

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol and multiple Berkeley County Fire Departments are currently responding to five separate water rescue missions on Lake Moultrie.

According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, a severe storm, including strong winds, lightning, heavy rain, and reduced visibility, is causing dangerous conditions on the water.

BCSO says if anyone is on Lake Moultrie, get out immediately and seek shelter. Conditions can worsen quickly, leaving boaters stranded or in distress within minutes…
