BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A Bonneau woman was taken into custody on Monday after allegedly throwing a chemical substance on a man and leaving him requiring emergency treatment at a burn center, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office announced.
38-year-old Lindsay Nicole Garcia has been charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and burglary in the first degree. BCSO said deputies responded to a home on Cozy Wood Drive Monday in reference to a reported assault in progress and found the man inside suffering from “severe chemical burns.” He was reportedly attempting to wash off the substance, and EMS responded to transport him to the MUSC Burn Center for treatment, according to deputies.
