AUGUSTA, GA (WCIV) — For most golfers, stepping onto the grounds of Augusta National Golf Club is a lifelong dream. For Jael and Jamie Just, it became something even more meaningful: a lesson in patience, perseverance, and the power of someone simply remembering.
The 15-year-old twin sisters from Charleston are participants in the First Tee of Greater Charleston, a youth golf program focused on teaching the game—and life skills—through golf. Last year, they were selected by their coaches for a rare and remarkable honor: an invitation to attend a Master’s practice round at Augusta National. The tickets were donated anonymously, and because there was no additional ticket for an adult, the program needed participants who could represent First Tee independently and responsibly.
