SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) — The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office is inviting the community to join them in honoring one of its K-9 deputies.
The organization will host a celebration of life service for K-9 Ares Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Ashley River Park Pavilion at 200 Renken Road in Summerville.
“The loss of K-9 Ares is deeply felt across our entire office,” Sheriff Sam Richardson said. “K-9 Ares served with honor, protected with courage, and gave his all alongside his three handlers and fellow deputies. His legacy will continue to live on in the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office. We invite our citizens to join us as we honor his life and service.”
Ares died unexpectedly earlier this month after serving with the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office since April 2021…
