NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The family of Walter Scott says the former North Charleston police officer seen on video shooting Scott in the back could be released from federal prison sooner than expected.

The family says a federal law may be creating a loophole that allows for early release, and they’re now pushing for more accountability and justice.
