CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A former College of Charleston police officer charged with grand larceny and misconduct in office is scheduled to appear in court for a plea hearing Thursday morning.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged David James Morrison in June 2024 following an investigation requested by the College of Charleston Department of Public Safety.
According to SLED affidavits, Morrison searched a vehicle during an arrest on May 25, 2024, and found a bag containing cash. Investigators allege he placed the bag in the trunk of his patrol vehicle with the intent of taking the money for his own use…
