Nearly $10,000 in drugs seized at Rivers Avenue motel; two arrested on trafficking charges

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Two people were arrested Monday after police discovered several thousand dollars in narcotics while conducting an investigation at the Siesta Motor Lodge on Rivers Avenue.

Kenneth William Rouse, a 31-year-old from North Charleston was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, manufacturing cocaine base and possession of schedule II narcotics. Additionally, 29-year-old Michael Germaine Scott Jr. of Summerville was arrested and is facing charges of trafficking cocaine base and manufacturing cocaine base.

According to the North Charleston Police Department, officers executed a search warrant at the Siesta Motor Lodge and during the search they located 30 grams of cocaine, 63 grams of cocaine base, 29 grams of fentanyl, and 14 doses of pills…
