CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WGHP) — More than a dozen Bojangles biscuit-makers got a chance to see if they could rise to the occasion by putting their skills to the test at the semi-finals of the annual biscuit-making contest at the Bojangles Support Center in Charlotte on Thursday.

Competitors raced to make 47 scratch-baked biscuits and were judged on both speed and the final product.
Judges looked not only for exact shape and size specs but also for the coveted golden-brown, buttered, flaky tops and pillowy center that define the perfect biscuit.
