19-year-old struck and killed while crossing I-485 in Charlotte: SHP

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 19-year-old was killed after officials say they were struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Interstate 485 late Tuesday night.

Around 10:20 p.m. on Aug. 4, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian on I-485 Outer at just before Exit 32 for US 29.

Investigators learned that CMPD received a missing person report from PNC Pavilion ahead of the crash. Through further investigation, officials learned the pedestrian, Logan Glaubitz, of Cameron, left the concert venue, attempted to cross the interstate, and was struck by a black 2013 Ford Edge in the far left lane…
