Drivers could face detours in the coming weeks as construction work continues for the Rail Trail Pedestrian Bridge project over Interstate 277.
Starting at midnight on Monday, Aug. 17, the off-ramp to College Street at Exit 1E off I-277 South will close, according to a news release from the city of Charlotte. The closure will allow crews to work in the south abutment for the installation of rebar, setting up forms and preparing to pour concrete.
