Two 19-year-old men were shot in Mount Holly after meeting with other men to sell marijuana, according to search warrant documents filed at the Gaston County Courthouse.
Jaylan Marray Jackson, 19, and Jayden Dae’shun Munson, 19, both residents of Concord, were shot and killed Dec. 14, while in a vehicle near the intersection of Dodge Street and Piedmont Avenue in Mount Holly.
Zabreon Isaiah Wallace, 18, of Mount Holly, and a 17-year-old have been charged with first-degree murder. Police are still seeking a third man in the killing.
According to a court affidavit written by Sgt. J. Arthurs with the Mount Holly Police Department, Jackson and Munson went to Piedmont Avenue to sell close to a pound of marijuana to two people.
Wallace and two others went to meet Jackson and Munson, armed with a rifle and a handgun, and waited for them to arrive.
Once Jackson and Munson arrived, Arthurs wrote, one of the suspects went to talk to them, approaching the passenger side of the vehicle, while another hid in the bushes. Then, Wallace pulled out a pistol and opened fire, according to the affidavit. They then ran away and someone fired again, Arthurs wrote.
