CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Woodard Properties is pushing back on a report released this week by the Charlottesville Food Co-op and the Seven Roots Group that questioned whether 501 Cherry Avenue, as designed, can support a successful grocery store.
The previous grocery store Estes IGA Foodliner was shut down in 2002. Bringing fresh food back to the corner has been a central goal of the project from day one, according to Woodard Properties.
