Celebrated bluegrass, country, and gospel singer Bradley Walker has always been open about the disability that has kept him from being among the most successful vocalists of his age.
A truly gifted artist with a voice that can’t be contained in a single genre, Bradley was born with muscular dystrophy, which has him restricted to a wheelchair. But since it is a non-progressive form of the ailment, he won’t get worse over time, allowing him to perform a limited schedule of shows.
Walker has, however, been diagnosed recently with Polycystic Kidney Disease, and is now waitlisted for a transplant at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. As anyone who has gone through this process knows, it can be a long wait to find a donor, though that time can be greatly shortened by finding a living donor willing to contribute a kidney.
