Displaced Hixson residents offered housing, financial aid after devastating apartment fire

HIXSON, Tenn. — A lightning-sparked fire that tore through an apartment building in Hixson on Sunday afternoon has left 70 people unable to return home.

Relief groups and property managers are now working to help residents find their next place to stay.

The Chattanooga Fire Department believes a lightning strike sparked the blaze at the Integra Vistas apartments just off Highway 153.
