Construction and material handling equipment maker Komatsu held an event in mid-July to celebrate 40 years of operations at its manufacturing facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Komatsu, a global company based in Japan with an American business unit based in Illinois, refers to the facility as its Chattanooga Manufacturing Operation (CMO) and says the plant assembled its 60,000th excavator at the same time it is celebrating 40 years of manufacturing activity.
