A Portsmouth nonprofit is offering free housing, job assistance and life skills training to young adults ages 18 to 24 who have aged out of foster care.
Theresa Holloway founded We Have Dreams 2 after seeing young people who had left the foster care system struggling with housing and jobs. To make room for 10 young men, she moved out of her McDaniel Street home and into a small apartment, leaving nearly everything behind.
“Only thing I left with was my clothes,” Holloway said. “I left everything here for them because they didn’t have and some of them still don’t have.”…
