PORTSMOUTH, VA. (WAVY) – Shenique Brown says she and her fiancé moved into their new home in Portsmouth on August 3rd. The couple was planning to start a family and build a life there, however on Thursday, tragedy struck in the form of lighting.
“We heard a loud boom and like I think the lightning actually struck close to the side of the house,” said Brown, “then after that, I hear a scream from my fiancée. He was connecting his phone charger to the outlet when that lightning struck and he actually got shocked.”
