CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A 49-year-old man was arrested Sunday after evading a traffic stop and weaving in and out of traffic in Jarvisburg, according to the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy observed a red Mustang traveling northbound on Caratoke Highway 158 at approximately 100 mph. According to the sheriff’s office, a witness then reported the vehicle was traveling as fast as 140 mph and nearly caused a serious collision.
