Bomb threats reported at York County, Portsmouth schools; no evidence found

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Multiple schools in York County and three in Portsmouth received a bomb threat Friday morning.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office identified the calls as false reports or “swatting” in order to trigger an emergency response. Deputies visited 19 schools to conduct protective sweeps and could not find any evidence of threats.
