Former Clarksville caregiver convicted of identity theft after stealing thousands from elderly client

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Just over three years after a Clarksville caregiver was charged for withdrawing large amounts of money from a client’s bank account, a jury has found her guilty of identity theft, officials said.

According to 19th Judicial District Attorney Robert Nash, jurors returned the guilty verdict for Kathey Nance on Wednesday, April 22, following a four-day jury trial.

Officials said Nance served as a caregiver for the 78-year-old victim in 2021. During that time, the victim reportedly experienced memory issues and “unusual behavior” that was related to changes in medication.
