NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio (WJW) — The last Colossal Cupcakes location is closing this week, signaling the end of an era.

“Enjoy your very last Colossal Cupcake this week,” the bakery wrote on Facebook.
The North Olmsted location at 4615 Great Northern Boulevard is shutting down officially on Sunday, July 26. Two downtown locations previously closed.
“Thank you, for almost 15 sweet years,” wrote the shop, which offered 40-plus cupcake flavors on the daily along with plenty of other baked goods.
Just last year, one of the largest cupcake chains, Sprinkles Cupcakes, abruptly closed nationwide, leading to a conversation about the cupcake trend waning in America. Colossal Cupcakes ownership did not say what led to its closure…
