Mayor George continues to be in constant contact with FirstEnergy to push for urgent action that will restore power to Lakewood homes. Per FirstEnergy, a main cause of the current outages are failures of the underground lines feeding the Lauderdale substation.
In response to Mayor’s demands for immediate action, FirstEnergy has delivered a mobile generator that will be hooked into the Lakewood power grid. This generator will be placed at Hayes Elementary School and should help reduce capacity loss while the Lauderdale substation is repaired…
