The first $4.6 million investment in sustainable, affordable housing by the Cuyahoga Land Bank debuted in East Cleveland’s Circle East District Friday.
The project is the first of six phases in the revitalization project, and includes seven newly built homes on Woodlawn Avenue, as well as two fully renovated homes, sewer repairs, rooftop solar panel installations, electric vehicle charging stations and a multi-purpose greenway.
“For generations East Cleveland has been a community of resilience with a rich, rich history and remarkable potential,” Mayor Sandra Morgan said. “Today we’re turning that potential into progress through the Circle East District — a bold vision that is transforming the way that people see our city and [the way] that they perceive us.”
