CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A Parma Heights woman spent weeks in the hospital and had her gallbladder removed after eating at Taco Bell on July 6, her attorney said. Tamyra Stewart was diagnosed with cyclosporiasis two days after her Taco Bell trip and is now facing thousands of dollars in medical bills.
Stewart was released from the hospital Thursday, according to her attorney, Ron Simon, a national food safety lawyer.
“She had horrible diarrhea, bad abdominal pain, severe cramping, so bad they had to remove her gallbladder,” Simon said.
