CLEVELAND — Cleveland Local Postal Service Union members gathered Tuesday afternoon to demand that elected leaders across the country secure the financial future of the post office, elect leaders that better represent the union and Main Street workers, and safeguard the future of mail-in voting.
The Cleveland Local Postal Workers Union is one of several organizations voicing opposition to federal proposals to further restrict mail-in voting, given the Trump administration’s emergency appeal, asking the Supreme Court to allow for an executive order that would add restrictions to mail-in voting ahead of this November’s mid-term elections.
“It’s important that we keep their right to vote by giving them, I guess, other access and other channels to do so.
