Threats prompt cancellation of SAVE America Act Rally in Ohio

(NewsNation) — An upcoming rally featuring U.S. Reps. Max Miller and Anna Paulina Luna has been canceled after organizers said a threat made the event a security risk.

Shannon Burns, chairman of the Strongsville GOP, announced the cancellation of Monday’s SAVE America Act Rally, saying organizers made the decision after consulting with law enforcement and the venue.

“The number and nature of the threats received have made the event untenable,” Burns wrote on social media. “We cannot responsibly expose our guests, attendees, volunteers, venue staff, or law enforcement officers to an unacceptable safety risk.”

Burns called the cancellation an example of political intimidation, arguing that threats “succeeded in shutting down a peaceful political gathering focused on election integrity and ensuring that only American citizens vote.”…
