(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A suspect reportedly on a psychedelic drug was arrested after lying in the street, harassing people, and attempting to assault an officer on Sunday, Sept. 27, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
CSPD reported that at around 1 p.m. on Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Sahwatch Street, near West Fountain Boulevard and South Cascade Avenue, in response to reports of a man acting erratically, lying down in the street, and harassing people. Detectives with the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) piloted a drone to the area and found him as he was running north in the 600 block of Sahwatch Street.
When they caught up to him, officers detained the suspect, and he became combative, resisting their attempts to control him. The suspect attempted to assault one of the officers, causing injury to another during the struggle, according to CSPD…
