COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A recent CDC study shows nearly one in three Muscogee county residents have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. But what many don’t realize is that stress can be a part of the problem.
According to the CDC over 64 thousand people in Muscogee county are suffering from high blood pressure. Which Piedmont Columbus regional physician Dr. Nwobi explains can be linked to a multitude of factors.
“A lot of it sometimes is lifestyle choices, like smoking, alcohol excessively. Also weight. And of course, some people just by your genetics are at a higher risk of having, high blood pressure,” said Addiction and Primary care physician Samuel Nwaobi.
