Spring appears to be a time of change for the Ohio State Buckeyes .
Along with continuing to bring in high-quality players in preparation for a national championship run, coach Ryan Day said the Buckeyes will be adjusting their roster. Day mentioned he and his staff were working with linebacker Sonny Styles to find the best spot for him to use his large arsenal of skills.
“We’ve had a lot of conversations with Sonny and he has a lot of flexibility to do a lot of different things, which is great,” Day said. “So as we get into spring, we’ll start to figure out exactly how those will all shake out. But when you see Sonny, he has the flexibility to do multiple different things.”
Another player mentioned by Day was offensive lineman Josh Fryar. Fryar has spent the majority of his Ohio State career at tackle but could move over to guard if Day believes it is a better fit.
“We’re gonna take a look to see what the right combination will be on the right side now that we’ve lost (Matthew Jones),” Day said. “He’s gonna play tackle, he’s gonna play a little bit of guard and we’ll kind of see how that shakes out as the spring goes on.”
