If a 214-year-old building could pick its new owner, the Buxton Inn surely would have chosen Kevin Showe.
At 70, Showe has spent most of his life owning, fixing or restoring old buildings, including the 206-year-old former Masonic Temple in Worthington that he and his wife, Patty, call home. There are no surprises behind the walls or under the floors in the old buildings they restore, because they have seen it all.
“We still own quite a bit in Worthington,” he said, describing the years they were built by saying, “everything has an ‘18’ in front of it.”…
