A Woodstock man who pleaded guilty to selling methamphetamine and other drug-related charges has been sentenced to serve 15 years in prison.
On May 19, James Wylie Stroud Jr., 57, of Woodstock, entered a non-negotiated guilty plea to 13 charges, the Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office announced. The charges are: two counts of sale of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, and eight counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to the district attorney’s office, in October 2025 the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad learned that Stroud was selling methamphetamine in Cherokee County and was storing methamphetamine in a detached garage on his mother’s property near her house…
