TOCCOA, Ga. — A Dahlonega woman was injured when she was struck by an SUV that swerved to avoid two dogs in the road in northern Habersham County.
The accident happened Friday, Sept. 11, near 3870 Talmadge Drive (GA 17 Alternate) in Hollywood.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the dogs entered the highway in front of a Nissan Rogue. The driver swerved left to avoid hitting them. At the same time, 58-year-old Sandra D. Schriefer entered the road behind the dogs. The Nissan struck her and knocked her to the ground…
