DENVER (KDVR) – Denver’s auditor said that a contractor hired to revamp 16th Street found an underground brick sewer, which ultimately led to delays and an added $18 million passed along to taxpayers.
Auditor Timothy O’Brien said that DOTI, or the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, should have done a better job of relaying that discovery and delay of the project to the Denver City Council.
