WINTERSET, Iowa– Nearly two weeks after the State Auditor’s Office released alarming findings surrounding Madison County’s financial records, county leaders remain divided over how to move forward.
The disagreement surfaced during a special session of the Madison County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday morning, where Board Chair Heather Stancil questioned the State Auditor’s Office and called for an independent firm to be brought in.
